Monitor is for institutions that are not yours: a watchlist of banks you want to keep an eye on, and a portfolio view for advisors carrying many clients at once. Enterprise
Two modes, one page
The tabs at the top switch between Competitor Monitor and Advisor Portfolio, and the address updates so you can link straight to either.
- Competitor Monitor — up to 25 tracked institutions, each expandable to its measures, plus a side-by-side comparison.
- Advisor Portfolio — a findings heatmap across every institution you carry, by category.
The two modes count different things
This is the single most important thing to know about the page, and it states it in the column headers rather than leaving you to discover it.
- The watchlist column reads flagged measures — a measure screen against the threshold table.
- The portfolio column reads rule findings — the same rule book that runs against your own bank; see Prepare.
They are different counts of different things, and comparing one institution's number across the two modes will mislead you.
Capacity is stated, not discovered
The watchlist holds 25 institutions. The page always shows how many slots are used and how many remain, and when it is full the add control is withheld with the reason — rather than accepting a click and then failing.
Side by side
Pick the measures you care about and every tracked institution gets a labelled row per measure. The ordering is stated in words, not implied by colour, and colour is never an identifier — only your own institution is distinguished, and it is distinguished by a word.
A dashed median line is drawn across each measure, and it is labelled for exactly what it is: the median the comparison feed returned. The feed does not say which cohort it is the median of, so the page does not claim one.
The portfolio heatmap
Seven fixed columns — concentration, capital, asset quality, liquidity, earnings, interest-rate risk and trends — with a finding count in each cell. An institution whose filing could not be read keeps its row, and its cells read not evaluated rather than zero. Zero and unreadable are different facts.
The position band on each row is arithmetic over the finding count — no findings, one to two, three or more. It is not a supervisory rating, it is not a measure's state, and a zero means this engine found nothing rather than that the institution is clean. The page says this once, in full, and so does the guide.
Alerts
Tracked institutions are read by the daily threshold sweep, which sends only to accounts that have an alert channel configured. Nothing is dispatched until a channel exists — see Settings. Enforcement actions are not dispatched from this register.
